Friday Reads

This is what I’ve been reading the past two weeks.

After finishing The Sisters Grimm, I moved onto some non-fiction.

The first one was A Short History of Fairytales which was interesting.

Then I moved onto Murder Houses of London which, while rather gruesome, was also very interesting.

The last book was Schindler’s List which was really emotional. And last but not least my current read is Stupid Cupid by Rhonda Stapleton.

Friday Reads

Reading has gone very well this week. I’m still on my fairytale retellings kick…

I finished Fairest and absolutely loved it!

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Tree by Chris Colfer.

This was an okay book. I didn’t think it was very well written and it seemed very predictable.

Beastly by Alex Flinn

I really enjoyed this book. It was full of twists and turns that kept me going.

The Sisters Grimm: Fairytale Detectives by Micheal Buckley

Another fun read!

The Sisters Grimm: The Unusual Suspects by Micheal Buckley

The book I started this morning. I’m going to be reading this series for quite some time!

This has been yet another week where reading hasn’t really happened but I’m hoping that in a couple of weeks, after NaNoWriMo, that things will calm down. I’m still on the Jackaby series.

This week has been rather slow in terms of reading for me because of NaNoWriMo but I carried on with the Jackaby series and I have almost finished the second book Beastly Bones.

This week I carried on with a combination of non-fiction and historical fiction.

On the non-fic side of things I’m reading about the Victorians in preparation for NaNoWriMo and in terms of fiction I’m reading the second book in the Jackaby series, Beastly Bones.

I really enjoyed the first book. The twists and turns kept going on right to the end and I’m hoping that the second book will be the same.

This week, in preparation for NaNoWriMo, I’ve started reading a combination of history reference books and historical fiction.

I’ve started reading the Jackaby series by William Ritter.

It’s described as Doctor Who meets Sherlock Holmes and though I only started it earlier I definitely have to agree with that!

Sorry for the lack of blog post last week – I completely forgot!

Over the last two weeks I’ve been reading a fairytale retelling series about a fairy godmother in training which starts with My Fair Godmother and ends with My Fairly Dangerous Godmother, which I’m currently reading. It’s very funny, which is just what I need right now.
